What We Do
Since 1984, Gelato Fino Desserts manufactures baked desserts and ice cream products for upscale restaurants, food service distributors, national retailers, luxury cruise lines, fine hotels and prestigious country clubs throughout Florida, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
Every item is hand-crafted and locally produced by our culinary professionals. Baked desserts range from enormous layer cakes weighing more than twelve pounds to pre-portioned solos, gelatos, sorbets, and ice cream desserts. If we don’t presently make a product, know that if you dream it, we can create it!
Our products make people happy – daily meals, evenings on the town, vacations and special family celebrations are never complete without dessert – c’mon, who raves about the vegetables! Gelato Fino Desserts takes enormous pride in knowing that we make our small part of the world a happier place.
Our story begins with Gregory Parker, our founder, who inherited his love of food and desserts from his mother. Gelato Fino Desserts’ logo of two ladies looking in either direction pays tribute to her constant search for something wonderful.
While living in Vermont in the 1970’s, Greg became an aficionado of ice cream making (weren’t there two other guys at that time with the same idea?). In the early 1980’s, Greg’s “hobby out of control” had an unexpected encounter with gelato, which anchors the vibrant and dynamic Company of today.
Greg nurtured and sustained Gelato Fino Desserts for more than thirty years with an amazing staff of artisans who shared his commitment, vision and passion. In 2014, Greg sold the Company to a South Florida entrepreneur, Michael Wasserman, ensuring it remains a local, family-owned and operated business.
We continually reinvest in our business. Examples include:

- Purchasing raw materials, whenever possible, directly from producers. We have direct relationships and carry a deep inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring high-quality and competitively priced products.
- Training our culinary professionals, supervisors and management team in safe production methods and regulations.
- Building our human capital around five core values:
